================================================================ Update, Oct 5, 2016 - I have been using this multiple looting of a single defense successfully for years, and did so at the start of this season. Something has changed around a week into the 2016 season and it is inconsistent. The gear on the ground has always remained for around fifteen minutes. This year, it has sometimes disappeared within a few minutes.

I just helped defend on Lightbringer and looted the gear, then by the time I had my second toon out to loot it, three minutes later, it was already gone. I switched back to the toon that looted it to see if it was visible to that toon, and it was not.

After doing some ram racing stuff, I did a second defense with the toon that failed to loot the gear, and again it dropped. This time, I was able to loot with three additional toons; So, I had the thought earlier that maybe this is an intended change to force players to participate if they want to get credit, but it appears that this is not the case. We are in the still recent post expansion roll out phase, and the realm servers are acting flaky, that may be all that this is - although why the onset was a week into Brewfest is puzzling. Adjustment of realm server task priorities? Hopefully, this is merely a one year hiccup. Additional note, I am only doing singletons on the Ally side this year, so I don't see this issue, but I would not be surprised that their Dark Iron Defense is experiencing the same thing.
