If you change the ini files you can start any gps app you want like garmin etc with is compatible with windows ce 6.0 but be carefull with the resolution to be 800x240 or whatever your unit is. I see its old post but want to try if any of you still working on these units I recently ( summer 2014) purchased GPS DVD unit on ebay. I think we talkin about same unit. Here the pic. Com/cargps-3AS8hVJW.jpg cost about $140, overall its good for price but It has two very important problem. -One is quality of radio. Sound is too crispy, too much high freq and radio lost stations. Its more like two stations mixed to each other especially when the car is moving.

I don't know if this is problem on unit I have or general to all, but it pisses me off and ruin my radio fun. Original old radi was beter as quality.

-I found its media player pretty good, I tried, CD,DVD mp3, mp4 videos I tried everything I found and it plays all codecs. Only think I noticed I catches electronic noise from player unit, when dvd turns u can hear noise at the back sync with rotation, I saw same thing in old cheap, not well isolated computer soundcards - biggest bug is clock, It set itself to wrong time. Whenever I start the car I find time 12hrs ahead, usualy showing next day. If I turn gps time sync on, then it set wrong time with 24hr difference, I think it set itself to wrong time zone, looks like to china timezone. But unit has no timezone setting.
