The Experience is commemorating the 50th anniversary of its album Electric Ladyland by reissuing the project as part of a Deluxe Edition box set. Slated for a Nov.

9 release, the package arrives 18 days before the late rock legend would have celebrated his 76th birthday. In addition to the original double album -- now newly remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes -- the box set includes Electric Ladyland: The Early Takes, which gives fans a look into demos and studio outtakes from the recording period.

Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by English-American rock band the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
